HORADAM Gouache offers 48 brilliant, velvety-matte colours exclusively made from high-quality artists’ pigments. The pigments in their highest concentration guarantee the utmost colour quality and luminosity. A distinctive feature of HORADAM Gouache is its natural opacity, formulated without additional white for lightening. This leads to an extraordinary intensity and purity of colour.
Opaque or diluted application? 
HORADAM Gouache offers diverse painting possibilities: the colours can be used directly or diluted with water. Furthermore this range is characterised by its excellent painting properties allowing precise and controlled colour application. Although the colours can be significantly diluted, its primary purpose is an opaque use.
HORADAM Gouache also allows versatile combinations with HORADAM watercolours, providing artists with creative freedom in various techniques. While painting with watercolours usually progresses from light to dark (with white paper representing the light), painting with gouache offers unlimited freedom in approach. In contrast to painting with watercolours with limitations on painting over lights, painting with gouache allows both highlights and lights to be added with colour afterwards.
HORADAM Gouache can be easily mixed and combined with other Schmincke gouache colours. Upon drying it appears matte and undergoes minimal tonal lightening.
