Kuretake ZIG 2-Way Glue is a legendary Japanese glue pen series that has rewritten the rules of paper crafting, card making, and scrapbooking worldwide. Two Functions in One Pen: How Does It Work?

Tracking the glue's drying process is exceptionally easy thanks to the clever color indicator:

PERMANENT BONDING (Wet & Blue):
Apply the glue to the paper and press the pieces together immediately while the glue is still wet and blue. As it dries, it creates a strong, tear-resistant, and final permanent bond.

REPOSITIONABLE BONDING (Dry & Clear): Apply the glue to the paper and let it air dry completely (approx. 1–2 minutes) until the blue color turns transparent. The surface will remain tacky to the touch. Now you can place, move, and remove details or stencils without damaging the surface or the paper!

Choose the Perfect Tip for Your Project:

MSB-10M (1 mm Ballpoint Tip): Works just like a fine ballpoint pen. By gently squeezing and rolling the flexible body, you can apply glue to even the finest details.
Best for: Ultra-detailed die-cuts, lace paper, tiny rhinestones, and fine foil lines.

MSB-20M (2 mm Fine Felt Tip): Equipped with a special valve system.
Best for: A universal size for gluing details, fixing edges, and writing medium-sized glue lettering (e.g., names on wedding invitations).

MSB-15P (4 mm Chisel Tip): The slanted flat tip allows you to draw wide 4 mm strips as well as use the corner of the tip for finer lines.
Best for: Covering larger surfaces, wide brush-lettering style glue calligraphy, and prepping the backs of large stencils.

Usage and First-Time Activation

Ballpoint Tip (1 mm): Remove the cap and draw on the paper while applying very light, smooth pressure to the pen body.
Felt Tip (2 mm and 4 mm): The tip of a brand-new pen is completely white. Shake the pen with the cap firmly closed. Remove the cap, place the pen vertically on a piece of scrap paper, and press the tip down rhythmically several times (pump) until you see the blue glue flow into the felt tip. The pen is now ready for use!

Clever Tips and Recommendations – Crafter's Secrets

Magical Foil Stamping Without Heat: Write or draw your text on paper with the Kuretake pen. Let the glue dry until it turns transparent (the repositionable phase). Place crafting foil over the design (shiny side up), rub firmly with your finger, and peel the foil sheet away. The foil will stick perfectly and cleanly only to the glued areas!
DIY Reusable Stencils: Apply glue to the back of a cut paper or plastic stencil, let it dry transparent, and you have a perfect, repeatedly repositionable masking stencil that prevents paint from bleeding under the edges.
Reviving a Dried Felt Tip: If you forgot to put the cap back on and the felt tip dried out, don't throw the pen away! Carefully pull the felt tip out with tweezers, wash it clean in lukewarm water, dry it, put it back, and pump the glue into the tip again.
Securing Glitter: Thanks to the blue indicator, you can see exactly where you have applied the glue. Sprinkle glitter onto the wet blue glue – as it dries, the glitter will stay firmly in place without flaking off.
