Mutsu Tissue is an exceptionally thin and translucent premium quality washi paper that hides phenomenal strength behind its delicate appearance. Made in Japan, this paper is designed for artists, designers, and restorers who require an ultra-thin material that retains its shape and does not tear even when completely wet.
Composition:
- 85% Thai Kozo (paper mulberry fiber): The high content of long plant fibers gives the paper the legendary toughness and durability characteristic of Japanese washi in both dry and wet conditions.
- 15% Sulfite pulp: Ensures a uniform texture, density, and stability across the entire surface of the thin sheet.
- Chiri particles (natural tree bark): The surface of the paper is enriched with small, natural pieces of mulberry bark (chiri), giving each sheet a unique, lively, and warm appearance.
